Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely handle and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting forms for concrete.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by fetching tools and performing basic setup tasks.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Operate Power Tools: Use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and levels, under supervision.
- Clean Work Areas: Maintain a clean and organized job site, including sweeping and debris removal after shifts.
- Measure and Mark: Help measure and mark cutting lines on materials, following blueprints and instructions.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience as a general laborer or in the Skilled Trades is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety gear is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
