Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and removing obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under the direct supervision of skilled tradesmen.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and organizing tools.
- Assistance: Provide general assistance to carpenters, masons, and other skilled workers as needed.
- Measurement & Cutting: Accurately measure and cut materials such as lumber, drywall, and insulation.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required. High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
