Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily tasks and project execution.
- Operate basic construction equipment and power tools safely under supervision.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of work areas.
- Transport materials to and from storage locations on-site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be physically able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to job sites in the New Orleans area and potential trips to Texas.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices is a plus.
