Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by cleaning and organizing areas.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials to work areas using hand trucks or forklifts.
- Support Trades: Provide general support to skilled tradespeople including carpenters, electricians, and masons.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment under supervision.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a safe and clean job site by removing debris and adhering to safety regulations.
- Measurements: Help with basic measurements and layout tasks as directed by the foreman.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a consistent attendance record.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is preferred (or access to reliable transportation).
- Safety Awareness: A commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
