Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and leveling the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools under supervision to perform basic construction tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist Tradesmen: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople as needed.
- Transportation: Transport materials and tools between the job site and storage areas using trucks or dollies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, and standing.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and potential overtime for weekly pay.
- Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are often required for site transport.
