Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and ironworkers, with daily tasks and material handling.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently according to company standards.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground as directed.
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and safety plans.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols and a commitment to wearing all required PPE.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and on rough terrain.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous construction experience is a plus but not required.
