Responsibilities
- Execute physically demanding tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently under supervisor guidance
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with OSHA safety protocols
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material preparation
- Read and interpret basic construction blueprints and site layouts
- Perform general site cleanup and debris removal operations
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction labor experience or equivalent physical work background
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance for no-shows
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours daily on uneven terrain
