Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, leveling terrain, and installing safety barriers
- Load/unload heavy materials including steel beams, concrete blocks, and specialized equipment
- Operate power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) and hand tools with precision
- Assist skilled trades with framing, plumbing rough-ins, and electrical conduit installations
- Maintain OSHA compliance standards through daily safety inspections and hazard reporting
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Demolish outdated structures using controlled techniques and proper waste disposal
- Coordinate material deliveries and maintain organized inventory at job sites
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record for equipment operation
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement calculation skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Experience with concrete pouring, rebar installation, or masonry preferred
- Strong time management with ability to meet daily production quotas
