Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Install and connect wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, and other components
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and NYC building regulations
- Perform diagnostic testing using multimeters and specialized tools
- Maintain clean and safe job sites following OSHA guidelines
- Document work progress and maintain equipment inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift 50+ lbs
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
- Willingness to complete required apprenticeship coursework
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
- Pass background check and drug screening
