Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials, measuring, and cutting conduit and wiring.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, bending conduit, mounting outlets, and installing lighting fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; training is provided on the job.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of standing, lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the electrical trade.
- Willingness to obtain required state certifications.
