Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Support the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform Installations: Help pull wire, install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers according to blueprints.
- Read Blueprints: Learn to interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and local building codes to ensure a safe working environment.
- Tool Management: Properly handle and maintain power tools, hand tools, and testing equipment.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring debris is removed and materials are stored safely.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and ensure their needs are met during service calls.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school certification is a plus but not required.
- Driver's License: A valid, clean driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, fractions) for measurements.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including some weekend or emergency call-outs.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Motivation: Eager to learn a skilled trade and grow within the electrical industry.
