Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical tasks, including mounting outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures, under strict supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and potential safety hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
- A strong desire to learn and a positive attitude towards mentorship and training.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, fractions, and measurements).
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
