Job Overview:
As an entry-level Electrician Apprentice, you will assist journeyman electricians with various electrical projects, ensuring safety standards are met while learning the intricacies of residential and commercial wiring.
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as pulling wire, stripping insulation, and mounting outlets and switches.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- No prior electrical experience required; trade school graduates are a plus.
- Must be physically able to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and commitment to safety.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
