Job Summary
The Electrician Apprentice will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You will gain valuable experience in residential and commercial settings while working under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, fastening boxes, and mounting devices.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations.
- Keep work sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (trade school preferred).
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if required for site access.
- Basic understanding of math (fractions, decimals) is helpful.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and climb ladders.
- Strong desire to learn and a positive attitude.
