Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Shadow and support journeyman electricians on residential and commercial job sites to learn installation and repair techniques.
- Prepare Work Sites: Set up job sites, organize tools, and prepare materials as directed by the foreman or project manager.
- Install Electrical Systems: Help with the installation of wiring, conduits, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures under supervision.
- Read Blueprints: Begin learning to interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics to understand circuit layouts.
- Maintain Tools: Inspect, clean, and maintain hand and power tools to ensure safety and functionality.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answering questions and ensuring satisfaction with the work performed.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for travel to job sites.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients.
