Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Material Handling: Prepare job sites by fetching materials, organizing tools, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Blueprint Reading: Study and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Basic Installation: Perform entry-level tasks such as pulling wire, mounting outlets, and securing fixtures under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients and team members during job site visits.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required; however, familiarity with basic hand tools is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of mathematics (fractions, measurements) is beneficial.
