Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Perform hands-on installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems under supervision.
- Read Blueprints: Learn to interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Tool Maintenance: Properly use, clean, and maintain hand and power tools, including conduit benders and multimeters.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by gathering materials, digging trenches (as needed), and ensuring work areas are organized.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients and homeowners, explaining work being performed in a clear and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for job site travel).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of algebra and geometry is preferred.
- Attitude: Willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and reliability are essential.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and potential overtime.
