Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Read Blueprints: Learn to interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams to understand layout and circuit requirements.
- Wire and Connect: Pull and connect wires through conduits and ducts to complete circuits, ensuring all connections are secure and up to code.
- Perform Safety Checks: Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NFPA).
- Customer Service: Interact with clients to explain work progress and answer questions regarding electrical systems.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and organize tools, test equipment, and materials.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with measurements, fractions, and basic calculations.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn the trade and a positive attitude toward safety protocols.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends if necessary.
