Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare job sites by gathering necessary tools, materials, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Install and connect wiring, conduits, and fixtures according to local and national electrical codes.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues under supervision.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate logs as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (Apprenticeship program available for candidates without experience).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude toward safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
