Responsibilities
- Assist certified journeymen with residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Learn to read, interpret, and apply electrical blueprints and technical schematics.
- Prepare job sites by laying out materials, tools, and equipment according to safety standards.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including stripping wire, connecting outlets, and mounting fixtures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and willingness to follow instructions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
