Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand wiring layouts and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical components to ensure safety compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Prepare and organize job sites by laying out materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist in pulling wire, installing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and other electrical devices.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read measurements.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to learn and a strong attention to detail.
