Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Install wiring, conduits, and fixtures while strictly adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform basic troubleshooting and testing of electrical circuits using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Ensure all job sites are cleaned up and comply with safety regulations at the end of the day.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills and the ability to understand measurements.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
