Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Work alongside experienced team members to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Learn Blueprint Reading: Develop the ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings under supervision.
- Perform Basic Installations: Help with wiring outlets, switches, fixtures, and panels as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Tool Management: Learn to properly use, clean, and store electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment.
- Circuit Testing: Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of electrical circuits to ensure proper functionality.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and protecting work areas.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required to travel to job sites.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of mathematics, specifically fractions and measurements, is helpful.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Work Ethic: A strong desire to learn, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
