Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, connecting terminals, and mounting fixtures.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily cleanup of tools and materials.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed for job sites.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project expectations are met.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical requirements.
- Strong willingness to learn and a commitment to safety on the job site.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat/cold) and climb ladders or work at heights.
