Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Prepare and organize job sites, including laying out materials and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing basic repairs under supervision.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; trade school certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and work in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- No prior electrical experience is required; we value attitude and aptitude over history.
