Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including pulling wire, stripping insulation, and connecting terminals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Use hand and power tools correctly and safely, including multimeters, wire strippers, and drills.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications
- No prior experience is required; however, a strong desire to learn the trade is essential.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Basic math skills are required for calculating loads and measurements.
- Ability to stand, climb ladders, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications and licenses as training progresses.
