Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under supervision
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements
- Ensure compliance with national electrical codes (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Assist senior electricians with wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installations
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow OSHA safety standards
- Document work progress and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (heights, tight spaces)
- Willingness to complete company-sponsored apprenticeship program
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Greater New Orleans
- Positive attitude and commitment to learning safety protocols
