Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Learn to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems under the supervision of certified professionals.
- Tool Management: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; properly handle and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
- Read Blueprints: Begin learning to interpret basic electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by moving materials, setting up ladders, and ensuring access for the team.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Support in testing circuits and identifying basic electrical faults under guidance.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: No prior electrical experience required. A willingness to learn is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to take direction well.
- Tools: Basic math skills and familiarity with hand tools are a plus but not mandatory.
