Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Electricians: Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems under supervision.
- Learn Code Compliance: Study and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Virginia regulations to ensure all work meets safety standards.
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and pull wire; install conduit and wiring components accurately.
- Site Management: Maintain job site cleanliness, organize tools and equipment, and communicate progress to the foreman.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, answer basic questions, and ensure a positive experience.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
Qualifications
- No Experience Necessary: We prioritize attitude and work ethic over previous experience.
- Valid Driver's License: Must be reliable and able to travel to various job sites within the Richmond metropolitan area.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with measurements, reading tape measures, and basic arithmetic.
- Tool Ownership: Must own or be willing to purchase a standard set of hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, measuring tape).
- Background Check: Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
