Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Shadow and support senior technicians on residential and commercial job sites to learn proper installation and repair techniques.
- Prepare Work Sites: Set up ladders, scaffolding, and temporary wiring to ensure the work area is safe and ready for the team.
- Basic Installation: Help install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices under supervision.
- Material Handling: Receive, organize, and inventory electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, providing updates on project progress and maintaining a clean workspace.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred; a trade school background is a plus but not required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We value attitude and work ethic over technical history.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are mandatory.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of arithmetic and measurements is helpful.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to learn new skills quickly.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to follow instructions from supervisors.
