Responsibilities
- Assist Journeymen: Support senior electricians with residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Tool Management: Learn to properly handle, maintain, and use hand and power tools.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Blueprint Reading: Study and assist in interpreting basic electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Testing & Inspection: Help test circuits and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; trade school preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Math Skills: Basic understanding of algebra and geometry is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a desire to learn.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including weekends and overtime as needed.
