Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior team members with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Prepare Work Areas: Set up job sites, gather materials, and ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and safe for operation.
- Read Technical Drawings: Interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and wire layouts.
- Perform Basic Wiring: Execute simple wiring tasks, including stripping, bending, and connecting wires to fixtures and panels.
- Conduct Safety Inspections: Identify potential hazards and adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, answering questions and providing updates on project progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience as an electrician is necessary. However, familiarity with basic hand tools and construction environments is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for job site travel.
- Aptitude: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to effectively work within a team.
