Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Install and connect wires, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
- Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot minor electrical issues under supervision.
- Assist in material inventory management and tool maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school certification is a plus but not required.
- Must be a motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn the electrical trade.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driverβs license and a clean driving record (insurability required).
- Basic math skills for measuring lengths and calculating electrical loads.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
