Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Shadow and assist senior technicians with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Tool Management: Learn to identify, use, and maintain electrical hand tools and testing equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by organizing materials, cleaning work areas, and setting up temporary power.
- Blueprint Reading: Begin learning to read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and maintain a clean, professional appearance while on-site.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; trade school background is a plus.
- Experience: No prior experience required. A strong willingness to learn is the most important qualification.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required for travel to job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the workday.
- Soft Skills: Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
