Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn Electrical Codes: Study and apply National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines under supervision to ensure compliance and safety.
- Tool Management: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; properly handle and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
- Basic Installations: Learn to pull wire, terminate connections, install outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Project Support: Assist in reading blueprints and understanding circuit diagrams to prepare for future independent work.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: This position is perfect for high school graduates or career changers with no prior trade experience.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic calculations and measurements.
- Problem Solving: Eagerness to learn troubleshooting techniques and mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and willing to work a full-time schedule.
