Responsibilities
- Assist Master Electricians with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance projects on-site.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from service trucks safely.
- Perform basic site cleanup and maintain a safe and organized workspace at all times.
- Learn to read blueprints and electrical schematics under the direct supervision of journeymen.
- Handle basic wiring tasks, outlet installation, switch repairs, and lighting fixture changes.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines on every job site.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding job progress.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; however, a strong desire to learn the trade is essential.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) and flexible shift hours.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to the Arlington, VA job site.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic math skills for measuring and ordering materials accurately.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
