Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical testing and troubleshooting using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations (OSHA).
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed for daily operations.
- Follow all local and national electrical codes to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain a positive relationship with clients and demonstrate excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required if you have strong mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness to obtain required state certifications and complete apprenticeship hours.
- Physical stamina to work on ladders, in crawl spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Basic math skills for measuring lengths, angles, and calculating load requirements.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
