Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions to determine proper layout and installation methods.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, replacing or repairing faulty components and wiring as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections on electrical equipment to ensure safety and longevity.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution systems.
- Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and schematics.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
