Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure proper installation.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on electrical systems to identify potential hazards.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components using hand tools and power equipment.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot complex electrical problems to determine the best solution for repair.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and clients to update them on progress and any necessary changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent certification).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Current Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
