Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, devices, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the optimal layout for wiring and other electrical components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensure all electrical work strictly complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Test electrical systems and circuits to ensure continuity and proper operation using testing devices like ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience in commercial or residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
