Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Ensure all work is strictly compliant with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and implement effective solutions with minimal downtime.
- Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License required for the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Deep knowledge of electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic procedures.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
