Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman electricians with residential and commercial wiring installations and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as running conduit, installing outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Document job progress and material usage accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of math and measurements.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to obtain an Ohio Electrical Contractor license upon completion of apprenticeship.
