Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems in commercial/industrial facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC and Virginia electrical codes
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
- Lead emergency repair operations during night shift hours
- Train junior electricians on safety protocols and best practices
- Document all work activities in maintenance logs and project reports
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia Electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 3 years commercial electrical experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Advanced proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics
- Strong knowledge of NEC 2020 and Virginia amendments
- Experience with industrial control systems (PLC, VFD)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license with clean record
