Job Overview
As a Night Shift Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining our commercial and industrial infrastructure. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure all electrical systems are functioning efficiently and safely during off-hours.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using blueprints and technical manuals.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues accurately under time-sensitive conditions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Document all work orders, time logs, and material usage accurately.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid State of Florida Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Tools: Must possess a personal set of hand tools and be familiar with power tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM or similar).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
