Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and motor control centers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute installation and repair tasks accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and company safety standards.
- Assist in emergency repair situations during the night shift to maintain facility safety and power reliability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to ensure seamless handover of critical systems.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician license required (or equivalent apprenticeship completion).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shift hours (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude for electrical systems.
- Valid Driverβs License and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification preferred.
