Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential properties
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications for complex electrical layouts
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and District of Columbia electrical codes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical failures using advanced diagnostic tools
- Lead safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs
- Collaborate with architects and contractors on high-profile DC projects
- Train junior electricians on best practices and safety protocols
- Manage project timelines and material inventory efficiently
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia electrician license (Master/Journeyman)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Expertise in conduit bending, circuit design, and power distribution
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR/AED training
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Strong understanding of sustainable energy systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
