Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential properties
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications for project execution
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and local DC electrical codes
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment
- Coordinate with project managers and clients for seamless service delivery
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia electrician license (Master/Journeyman)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools (multimeters, voltage testers, etc.)
- Strong understanding of NEC and DC electrical codes
- OSHA 10-hour certification required
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Physical stamina for climbing ladders, confined spaces, and lifting 50+ lbs
- Weekend availability and flexible schedule mindset essential
