Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and organizing materials
- Assist carpenters and masons with basic tasks like mixing concrete, carrying materials, and cleaning work areas
- Operate hand tools and light equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, power saws)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and verbal instructions from supervisors
- Assist in erecting scaffolding and temporary structures as needed
- Participate in daily team briefings and contribute to project goal achievement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and occasional weekends
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with consistent attendance
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
