Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, saws) and power tools under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized work areas
- Load/unload construction materials and transport equipment as needed
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and carrying materials
- Participate in building structures, roads, or commercial sites per project plans
- Report equipment issues and safety hazards to site supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Houston metro area
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours daily and climb ladders safely
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and punctuality
