Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling and site preparation
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and equipment operation
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely under supervision
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Participate in scaffold assembly and demolition projects
- Report safety hazards and maintain daily equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Jacksonville metro area
